I think they should be allowed to play till the next worldcup. But they should be kept hectic atleast sachin. They have to be damn fit for the next world cup. So they should be given rest to few series or some matches in every series.

I also agree that they should be given rest in between the series. I also agree that Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, and Rahul Dravid should play till the next World Cup and for the World Cup.

hey ... nobody except sachin should decide whats the right time for the little master's retirement he has served the nation for such a huge period of time.. almost 2 decades... he can decide himself the right time to move ahead... tha same goes for ganguly n dravid.. bt not to that extent !! SACHIN is SACHIN.... no replacements dude..... his presence only can make a difference !!!

Sachin ganguly and Dravid along with Anil Kumble form the core of the Indian cricket team. And i dont see a future for Indias cricket without them at the helm. And at this point of time all of them are playing with such flare that i feel they can go for another 4 years. And these are real match winners without whom the younger players cant manage. Each game revolves around the starts Sachin and Sourav give and without it India stumbles often. So unless India's younger crop of players dont rise to the challenge like the four did when their seniors retired we are in for a cataclysmic future.

When these top players do not receive the favours from the selection committee, they are out. Otherwise people have discarded them already.

I think sachin is very much fit for the next world cup also. So, he should not think about retirement before that. about dravid and ganguly, no comments :-)

I think they should retire with the end of next year. Or if probably earlier than this. They should the chance to new players to play and this we make the indian more better than it is now.

In cricket Retirement is not an easy decision. Usuallly a player retires when he is unable to concentrate on his game. This is not the case with either Sachin or Ganguly or Dravid. They are doing good in both forms... Remember the oldest man to play ICC World Cup at 47 years. Steve Waugh retired at 38 and was successful till the end. Retirement is all about the mental strength the player has and it is clear that they have a lot of inbuilt confidence in them by the way they are playing.......

still a lot of time is there for their retirement.because their are the most senior and eccelent players in our team .they may play or they may not play as well as in one or two matches but the most important thing we have to remember is every indian audian and every player of the team will feel that senior players are there behind and before us .that courage they will have senior players are there in the team. if we will think that we have to give chances to the younger generation then we have to think another thing that there are only 3 players are there in our team of senior most i think these players are very needed players to our team.they know how to take chances in the correct time. and they know how to play in the difficult situations so in my openion its better to have them in our indian team for several years

Sachin's reactions have become slow.He still has some steam left in him. Maybe a year or two. Not more than that.Dravid is still holding fort, he is a stoic defender in times of crisis and a fighter when we need him most. So one more year than Sachin can be given to dravid. The Bengal tiger is nearly gone. We may give him a few more chances depeding on his performance in the current English tour.

Till some months ago all were wishing that the trio should retire from the game. But once again all of them have proved their critics wrong with superb performances. Sachin proved his greatness in the recent matches in Ireland, Ganguly while the SA tour in last december and rahul has always been good except much in captainship,(world cup failure) but now is much better. So if people like lara, jayasuriya, hayden can play till the age of 37 with top scores, then why not these three Indian Greats. I am slightly hopeful that at least one of them will go on to play the next world cup also.

I dont think they will retire by themselves,.... we should collectively try to throw them out of criket.

Sachin, Dravid & Ganguly can continue as long as they can give their best performance . As we cannot say that when they should retire. It is their decision when to retire.

I think the best time for Sachin Tendulkar, Rahul Dravid, and Sourav Ganguly to retire is after the next World Cup. I certainly believe they can play for another 3-4 years as most of the are around 33-34. Three of them are one of the best cricketers the World had ever seen. The more they play the more they can contribute the World of Cricket. I think as long as they are in good form and are in fit, they can certainly play cricket.
