What do you do and call it art? I was clicking around Yahoo and ran into this website on a guy and his art. Talk about amazing!!! This man is an artist and then some. And fittingly, the title of the video is 'Strokes of Genius'! Here is the website...please watch the video. If you love art, you will not regret it. This man is amazing and I would love to watch more of his work!!!! http://potw.news.yahoo.com/s/potw/23115/strokes-of-genius What do you do for art? What do you think of this man? Crazy? Or a true artist?

Sweet, real sweet work. I personally think a true artist is someone that can physically express their own personal expressions in a physical form. I hate to be put in the spot to judge someone's work. It's like trying to judge someone’s worth or their soul in a way. My father in law is an artist and I help him sell his art. I watch him when he creates his pieces, it' as if he is miles away when working on them. He is at piece with the world and it shows in his work.

That is very beautiful to say about your Father In Law. :) That is pretty awesome too that you help him sell his work. And yes, I understand about not wanting to judge someone's work/worth. I just thought this man's work and creativity was so great, I wanted other people to see it. :)

Art is very subjective. Margieannart is one of our people here and has her own website for art. I think you should go and take a look. Art can be many things and if you wish to express yourself in that manner then I wish you all the luck. We lost some points the other day. Those quizes were fun. Thanks for trying.

Hey thanks. :) I had fun with the quizzes also. But hey, I hadn't a clue that they fell under the "etc" of Don't post jokes, recipes, etc. ha ha Sorry you lost some points. I will have to check out Margieannart's web page, thanks. I love and do many artistic things myself.

That was seriously awesome! I will never understand how artists like him can take something as ordinary as a band aid and turn it into an amazing piece of artistic work! WOW! I literally sat with my mouth open nearly the entire time I was watching the video! That is truly a genius there. I will have to keep my eye open for more of his amazing work! Thank so much for sharing that video!

Have you seen any of his "Good Bye Art"? I am not a huge fan of it. But he has inspired my son to do some stuff of his own. :)

Actually thats the first time I'd ever heard of him. I moved out of that kind of art years ago. Now my skills are used in sculpting steel into dangerous forms. You'll have to post some of your sons work on here. You never know it could go over well.

Well yup...this guy is totally nuts...hehe...but then most artists are a tad wacko...hey I'm an artist too, but I don't think I would delve into the methods he did...but he is a multi-facted person in how he creates his art....I'm glad to see he's into Pointillism method of art...I don't know if anyone has done that form since Seurat's days...he paid a price though, hasn't he with those tremors in his hands...Thanks for sharing this..it really was amazing to watch him work--Wonder what my cats would think if I did a painting using karate moves...LOL

Wow! That was really cool! I watched it two times. The first time was without sound and it still was very intersting to watch. But, when it did have the sound I could understand more of what he was doing. I think that he is really passionate about his art, and that is why he does what he does. The only think that I think would be a little crazy was the one where he used his own blood. It did look very cool and I never would have realized it, but from what he said...it does make some sense that he wanted to add some of himself. I think that the one that he did on the huge disk was amazing. You know that took a long time! :) And, as he read what he wrote...I could actually see some of the words in it. I thought that was really amazing how anyone could do that! He is a true passionate artist! :D

Wow that really is seriously impressive work! Very talented and extremely creative IMO..... What does it take IMO for a person to be a real artist? creating from their heart and soul...any work I do whether its dance, drawing, painting or writing may NOT be appreciated by anyone else but I consider myself an artist becuase I create from my heart and soul..Everything I do has meaning and a message and its a pc of me ya know....
