Do you fix your popcorn in the microwave,on the stovetop or use a popper? What is your favorite flavor? I fix mine in the microwave.I love kettle corn and theatre style with extra butter.A friend of mine went camping and came back and told me that they had gone to the little store on the grounds and got Jiffy Pop popcorn. It has been so long since I have had that.

Microwaveble popcorn is so much easier than popping them in a pot. But then again we use to when we never owned one years ago.

i can still remember the old pot my mom used for fixing popcorn! it was a reat treat back then. i had a friend when i was little, and i thought they were rich because they had "jiffy pop" popcorn. you could buy it in the pan and cook it on the stove top without another pan. i thought that was the best thing ever. now, my kids don't even know that there are other ways to pop popcorn! only the microwave cooks it!

I know,my daughter hasn't a clue as to what Jiffy Pop is.And when I get it,she is going to say,"What's that?" And when I tell her it's popcorn, she is going to think Iam nuts, lol. But,then when we fix it,she will have as much fun as I did.And no Iam not rich because Iam getting Jiffy Pop,lol.

I used to make it on the stove. I miss the Jiffy pop too, you can still buy it. I will have to buy some sometime for old times sake. I also used to like to use bacon grease when I popped it on the stove, the bacon added good flavor to the popcorn. Now I just use the microwave, the easy way.

I like microwave popcorn and then add a little real butter. It is so tasty that way! My adult daughter likes cheese popcorn but I am not so fond of it. It's ok but I'd rather have plain. I like caramel corn, that's tasty.

I make mine in the microwave. There's a certain one I absolutely love, I'm not sure which brand makes it. But it's a cheddar and it tastes absolutely delicious! Now just talking about it I'm getting a craving for it. Unfortunately we don't have any in the house. :(

Typically I can be very lazy. This is why I prefer to make my popcorn in the microwave. It may taste better other ways but I'm not going to put any extra effort into it. I don't need any special flavors, just ample butter. I mean copious amounts of butter.

I usually do it just in the microwave. Normally we just have the normal butter kind flavor, but we do treat ourselves occisonaly to the caramel kind that we also cook in the microwave, we love it.

I prefer to make them on the stove. Alot more work and requires that u watch them while a micro does all the work, but i find them to taste better made on the stove =) I like to sometimes melt some butter - but sometimes i just cant stand that atste *lol* My mood changes alot =)

We buy microwave popcorn- I like the butter kind- Not the movie-style that is too fattening- and way too much butter for me- Every once in a while we get out the Air-popper- I love this too- It’s fun to do- takes a bit longer and you can add how much butter and salt you want- This is the only way we made it growing up- so it brings back memories- I like Act II the best!

I usually just pop it in the microwave. I remember how having Jiffy Pop was a super special treat when I was a kid. I love the popcorn with all the butter--the more butter, the better. My momma just told me the other week that she made some Jiffy Pop.

pop corn - a bowl full of popcorn
Its been a long time since I've made popcorn. Its not real healthy anyway. The butter and salt are not good for you. Some popcorn has sugar added as well. Some people are here for a Good time, others for a Long time. To each his Own!:-)

I make popcorn in a small cast iron skillet on the stove. It's as quick as the microwave, tastes better and is healthier than the microwave, especially since I remember a few months back hearing about the coating on the inside of the microwave popcorn sacks being similar to those used for food at fast food restaurants with some kind of chemical to stop the food from sticking and that it can contribute to causing cancer.

Anything cooked in a cast iron pan is healthier for you.

We have let out a shop to a person who has popcorn machine. Whenever my son or my wife need popcorn, they just get it fresh from the shop at concessional rate. I do not like popcorn so much, but occasionaly eat.

I have pop popcorn both ways. I prefer the microwave because it turns out fluffier and easier to eat. I love popcorn, always have, yum, yum!

Yes I do this sometime but the last time I do it my microwave was broken. It started a fire inside the microwave and since then I'm afraid to put a pop corn again inside the micro wave. I just cooked it the stove with kettle corn.

I normally pop the microwave stuff. I don't really have a favorite brand. I do like that dried up Movie Theater popcorn with extra butter. MMmmmm. We are going to the movies tonight and I can't wait! My husband can make popcorn on the stove with just kernels in a pot. He learned how to make popcorn over a fire in boyscouts. That is the overall best popcorn!

Hey Donna! I haven't seen Jiffy POP since I was a kid! I pop my popcorn in the microwave now. I used to buy just the kernels and use a pot cause they were cheaper but I find them hard to find nowadays. Mostly it is the microwave kind. I usually buy the PC oraganics kind and add a little salt-free butter (I found out I had high-blood pressure and need a low salt diet) After three months my pressure was down and i don't need expensive heart meds. (YEAH) But anyways got offtrack LOL... I like to melt marshmallows (Kinda like rice krispie squares) and add them to the popcorn and make them balls for popcorn balls. Nice to put in a bake sale and kids like them... and me too. LOL Vicki

Hey Vicki,I had forgot about it till my friend mentioned that they had got it while camping.I use and I think everyone else makes it in the microwave.I have high blood pressure too(off and on,weird!),so I don't eat it as often as I did.I have never tried melted marshmallows with popcorn.Cool,I'll have to try that too. Take care Vicki. Glory Donna
