professional pictures - how often?

I take them as often as I have money I use to do childrens photography and prefer to do the more abstact ones such as feet poses and kissing ones

I haven't taken my son at all yet to get professional pictures done. Every time I decide to take him, something comes up and we never end up going. I really would like to get some pictures done soon, definitly before Christmas.

Once a year or so...maybe every 18 months once they reach 3-4.

I have only had my daughter's photos done professionally once & we only bought 1 photo from the set coz they were so expensive & also because i wasn't keep on most of the shots. I don't think it's necessary to have them done too often, mainly because it's much cheaper & more special when you take the photos yourself, kids looking the way they are supposed to when they're doing their thing. I think once every so often is ok but not as many as some people do. Oh, we also had my daughter's photo taken professionally with Father Christmas last year for her first Xmas so that was a special occasion! Maybe we'll do the Santa one yearly but not other professional ones, they can more of an every so often thing i think!

I have my daughters made once or twice a year. I just had them made a few weeks ago. But we're going to have family pictures made pretty soon.

I just got my three month old daughters done a couple weeks ago. I will probably get them done at least every three months. I got them done in the picture place at walmart and I got a real good deal!

I think professional pictures are beautiful, and you can get some really unique things done. I don't have a ton of professional pictures, but I wish I had more. We need a family portrait really bad! When I have kids I want tons of professional pictures done. You can get really cute things!

with our first daughter we took her right after she was born, then at 3 and 6 months, then every year after that. with our second daughter we had planned to do the same, but she had problems with her hip when she came out and was in a cast at 3 months. so hers got a little messed up. they are now 4 and 2. we take them on their birthdays for their yearly picture and when we do the youngest ones picture we also get a yearly shot of the two of them together. and in about a week we will have baby brother to add into the mix.

When she was a baby, we took her about every three month, till she was 2 they about every six months, till she was about 4, when she started school, I started taking her once a year to get her pictures done, I am very luck to even get her into the studio now, usually throwing a hissy fit, because she hates for her pictures to be taken, but extended family want pictures, and I must do it or they get very angry, she is now 12 and we just recently went to get her pictures done, I had to bribe her, she wanted a haircut very badly, so I made a deal with her, you get you hair cut the way you want it, and I get to take you for pictures for the family. She was not happy, but I got the pictures.
