Hi everyone. I am back. As a few of you know, i have been down looking after my father after his operation. I want to thank you all for your wishes, and thought i would give an update. My father is slowly improving. He has to spend most of his time in his recliner chair, resting. He still cant use his arm since his shoulder operation, but has to do exercises 4 times a day with it. This hurts a lot, and i find it hard watching him go through it. They have found another crack in his leg, so getting around isnt easy. His leg is very fragile, but they are talking maybe putting a caliper on to help. While i was down, i had to cope also with all the kids getting sick, one after the other with a stomach virus. I just cant win at the moment. They are all better now, thankfully, and started back at school today. Now i think i need a holiday. haha. I was worried leaving my parents to come home, but one of my brothers has come down to stay with them for a while to help. This has been a huge relief, because, even though they think they can manage, they need help.

I'm glad to hear, Kay, that your Dad is slowly improving and hope this continues, in fact, I hope it speeds up a little. It always hurts to watch close ones in pain, but hopefully that will ease or even be gone with time. Sorry to hear you had such a bad time with your kids whilst down there. You're all still in my prayers, my friend. Brightest Blessings on you and yours. xx

Thanks for your kind words and prayers, Darkwing. They are always appreciated. I hope the healing process speeds up. I was talking to my mum today, and she was saying that he is doing a bit more each day. Small things, but this is good. The kids are all fine now and back at school. So i am getting a bit of a break, but still busy. Best wishes to you, Darkwing, and thanks for your response

You're so welcome Kay, and all those little extra things your Dad is doing each day, will soon accumulate into one bigger one. Brightest Blessings, my friend.

Well it wouldnt be normal if everything didnt happen once, glad to hear about your father, at least he is improving a bit. It would be heart breaking to leave them, but I suppose its not that bad if you know that your brother is there with them..And it sounds like you had a full on time...Maybe just enjoy yourself while the kids are at school.

Trying not to do much since the kids are back at school, but still busy doing the normal things we have to do. Unfortunately, i cant seem to find that little fairy that comes and does all the housework and stuff. It has been a very tiring 2 weeks. I am sure though things are getting better. Dad is slowly improving, but it is hard leaving them. My brother made it down, so thats good. Thanks for your response and best wishes to you, Calais

Im glad your getting a break. And Im glad your dads operation is over. Shoulder surgery takes alot of rehabing I went through it. It takes some time but when its healed he will feel so much better. I wish him alot of luck and tell him keep doing the exercises.LOL Now get some rest you deserve it.

Thanks for your response and kind words, terry. He is doing his exercises, but it takes him quite a while to do them. Everyday he is improving, just takes a long time. Best wishes to you

It's lovely to see you and I'm sorry your Dad isn't faring too well. It must be very hard for him. I'm glad another family member stepped in to help out...it often gets left to just one. The poor kids...and poor you, I hope they are back in good health again. You must be truly worn out. You've been on the go with things for a while now and it'll probably all catch up with you soon so take things as easy as you can for a while. Hugs and best wishes.

Thanks, Tickle. Yes, i am feeling a bit worn out, so trying to take things a bit easy. But there is still heaps that needs doing. The kids are all back at school and fine now. Dad is slowly improving, but just seems to be taking so long. It is very hard on him. Best wishes and thanks for your response. Thanks for the hugs too. Always welcome

I am glad that he is recovering, by the sounds of it, he still has a fair way to go to be fully recovered. I hope that everything goes well for him. It sounds like you do need a holiday, you have been looking after your dad and then you kids all come down sick. I am glad they are all better now. I think you should try and get some rest in the next few days, take some time for yourself if you can, you deserve it.

I know what you mean about doing the every day stuff. There is always something that has to be done, especially when you have kids. It is very hard to rest when you have kids or to do something you want to do.

Dad is recovering, thankfully, but it is a slow process. I feel like i need a holiday, but we can only dream. haha. Trying to take it a bit easy with the kids back at school, but it hard when you still got to do all the everyday stuff. It seems to take all my time up. Thanks for your response and best wishes to you, chook
