Queue or No Queue?

It is meal time. Everywhere is crowded. It could be at a restaurant and you do not have any reservations. It could be at any cafes, coffee shops, food courts or anywhere where they sell food. The stall you want to order from has a long queue. Will you continue eating there? Or will you switch to another place? There is this unspoken understanding that any stalls with queues are bound to serve good food. The food might not be palatable if there is no queue. For me, I do not join queues. I too avoid stalls without queues. I take the shortest queue possible. Friends, how about you? Do you prefer to join the queue or will you eat from stalls where there is no queue? Kindly share :)

There was a day when I would have stood in the queue and thought nothing about it , I don't work now so I can be at home when I want to eat and also make it when I feel like it , I hate queues nowadays anyway , as my time is my own now and if there is a queue for something I want ,I just go back on a quieter day xxxx

Unless you know the days when it will be quieter. I have ever tried doing such and I gave up. Everytime I go there, there is always Q even when I think it is non-peak.

I really dislike standing in a queue either for eating or for anything else. I would, like you, prefer going somewhere else to eat, where there is no queue. But I feel, exceptions are always there...If I have to stand in queue, I will only stand, when I am going to get some really really outstanding food. Have a nice day! deepak

I guess the exception would be when you have free time to spare :p

It depends if it is warm I will go to the Stall as I can sit outside and eat it then but if it is cold then I would rather stand in the Queue to be honest as I am warm Also I will only go to the Stall if the Food is good if not again I would rather stand in a Queue

I hate queues hun, no matter where they might be. For me the worst queues are usually at my bank, but I refuse to queue for ages just for a snack.

It's interesting most people will queue at banks but not for food. I do not even want to Q at banks!

If I'm in the mood to join the queue especially if the food are really delicious, I will patiently do so. If my stomach is growling, I will hop in to an empty stall to quickly fill in my little stomach. Most of the time though, I prefer not to queue.

Unless I really want to eat that particular food, I won't queue. I am not a patient person so.. no way! I really eat something "plain" than waste time queuing.:P

Personally, I decide on what to eat depending on what i feel like eating. so if i want to eat sth in particular and the queue is too wrong, i might switch to another queue selling the same/similar food. i am someone who needs variety too. so if some days i eat certain things, other days i won't. i have a friend that can eat the exact same dish everytime he goes to a restaurant even though there are like 50 dishes to choose from!
