Should an Organization Be Held Responsible If one of its Workers BURNS OUT?

I have been doing a lot of research on Burnout or (Nervous Break down) as I am recovering from one and they state that organizations should be held responsible. In my case there was obvious lack of recognition by my co-workers and superiors of an obvious burnout. I should mention that we had a person commit suicide in our work place less than 10 years ago. I believe I was treated worse as a result of my displaying symptoms of burnout and thus would tend to agree that the organization is responsible. Comments?

Workers need to take it upon themselves to take a vacation at least once a year. There are some people who are born workaholics and they just never stop. Those people can handle it better than most. The rest of us need a little R&R time now and then, and you must take advantage of that time. If you don't take the time, time will take YOU.
