Do you wait for your mailman?

The mailman - I look forward to my mail!

I get so many freebies in the mail that I look forward to my mail person coming every day! There is seldom a day that she doesn't have something for me. Since I have someone who pays my bills for me I never get any so that helps make my mail less stressful and more something to look forward to. Since my pc is in front of windows I can see when the mail truck pulls up and I actually have to tell myself to wait until she leaves so I don't look so excited that she is here...lol.. Do you look forward to picking up your mail? Is there ever something good for you in it or just bills?

I do freebies to and get them everyday in the post. I let the kids take turns checking the mail and that person gets the goodies. So it is great fun and when school is out they do wait for the maillady to come. My youngest actually wants to be a mailman when he grows up. Maybe because he sees how happy ours makes us. LOL Vicki

Freebies are great aren't they? I have more shampoos, conditioners and toothpaste than I'll ever need. The best thing is they save me money. Awesome that your child wants to be a mailman. Sounds like he has a good role model there doesn't it?

I wish I got more freebies in the mail. They only come occasionally. When I get the emails offering freebies I have to look at the small print where it says that it only pertains to US residents. I must say I would rather receive acceptance letters from publishers with cheques enclosed. I do look forward to getting the mail though because I have become a member of postcrossing.com where I send and receive postcards to people all around the world. So I look forward to receiving my next postcard. I have them all stuck in the top of my window frame in the basement. I don't know where they are going to go when I run out of space up there (about 3 or 4 postcards from now). My PC is in the basement next to the windows so the postal carrier walks right by my window when he/she comes so I always run up right away. What I order online usually comes by a mail truck and delivered separately.

Postcrossing.com sounds very interesting to me. I might check it out when I get a minute. I love post cards. If you just do a search on freebies you will come up with lots of sites. I also get them from Walmart and their usually pretty big ones and not those tiny sample sizes.

I'm always hopeful but I rarely get anything good. Just as an example of how pathetic it gets sometimes, I was thrilled when I checked my mail yesterday and found an empty order form envelope in case I want to order stamps, envelopes, or post cards from the post office but can't go there myself. I do get two magazines and a couple free newsletters every month but that still doesn't add up to much spread out over a whole month.

Just the magazines sounds like a good reason to wait for him/her to me. At least it's something. You wouldn't be getting them if you didn't enjoy them.

I used to love to get the mail when I got country weekly magazine. But now with all the bills, that is all that is in our mailbox. We are not home to wait for the mailman, but that is the first thing I do when I get home in the evenings from work. Even though all I find is bills, bills, bills.

I dont get any mails at all nowadays through the Mailman. I do all my communications through the mobile and the email , with which i dont need the service of the mailman at all. But I do get the things that I purchase online through the mail mans, in those days I do wait for the mailman to deliver the things I purchased, safe to me.

Actually, I myself became addicted to the whole freebie scene about a month ago. It's so much fun to see what comes in the mail every day. It's amazing some of the things you can find as a freebie online! My daughter loves it too because she is always getting something fun for herself.

You are so right...it does become an addiction. I usually put my grown daughters address in after I've done mine and she's always amazed at the things she gets in the mail. Since she works and has kids she doesn't have time to spend on the pc.

I have mixed emotions when it comes to waiting on the mail. Mostly its the bills for the next month but I do have catalogs and samples of products coming all of the time, So I like that. I am an online shopper also, so I am usually always waiting for something to come in. But I also stress a good deal when I am expecting something and its taking to long to show up.

I shop online also and bid on a lot of things on ebay. Usually when I win an auction it takes quite a while to get here but I realize I have to be patient.

I get excited about the mail, and I don't even know why. Most of the time, all I have is bills, so it's not like I have much of a reason to be excited. However, there are a few magazines that I get (free through offers and things), and I get excited about those! Money and Parenting are my favorites of the moment that I'm getting. There's also a religious newsletter that I really enjoy reading that I look forward to, and I like looking at random coupons and things really. And once in a while I'll be expecting mail from an online friend who said they were going to write me a letter, so that's cool too. =)

I used to love waiting on the postman. But nowadays it seems all he brings me are bills and junk mails. I used to get loads of freebies in the mail, but no longer get the goodies. I would love to find the freebie groove again because my 15 yo daughter loves getting the mail when there's a surprise in the mailbox that mama might give her! :-) Any freebie sites anyone want to share with me?

Sometimes i do especially if I know something special is coming for me LOL We have a nice mailman and its nice to stop and talk to him from time to time. My neighbor annoys him everyday and sometimes he gets frustrated and comes up with ways to avoid her altogether LOL I just think she is lonely. That reminds me, its time to check for mail :)

Your mailman probably looks forward to delivering your mail. I feel bad for them sometimes with all of the cranky people in the world!

Well I don't exactly wait for my mailperson to come, but I often like to rush down as soon as possible to get it....I don't get that many bills either anymore--thank goodness...but it's always nice to open my mailbox and find one of the things I've ordered, say a book from Amazon.com I had bought....It's nice too, when birthday time rolls around and see my friends who have remembered and sent me a card-- :)

I wish I could find many different websites to get freebies I love them but I only find good sites that really is free every now and than. Does anyone know any good sites, plus the main thing I get us bills (which I hate) I tend to sometimes forget to check the mail since I have grown to dislike it! Freebies would make it more exciting..

If you do a search on freebies or freebie sites you will get more than you can ever need...lol...one of my favorite is Sea of things. You register with your email and they send an email very seldom to remind you to check in. The forum there always has loads of freebies listed. I also check out name brand sites where they often offer samples.

I have always looked forward to getting my mail, ctry. I think it dates back to when I was a kid. I went south to visit my Greataunt and Greatuncle who wanted me to stay. I liked that idea and ended up staying. My mother would always notify us when she was sending me a box(mostly clothes). Sometimes I would get one from my grandmother also. These were exciting events for me, and they have carried over into my adult life. People in my building remark on how much mail I get all the time. I tell them that I just love getting mail.

Hi, Actually when the mail person comes it is not usually a good time for me. All I ever have arrive is bills and more bills. Other than that I get junk mail or flyers from different companies. Maybe some day when I get on top of my bills I will look forward to seeing the mail person again. :) cheers,

I love getting the mail. Most of the time it's just junk mail but it's usually fun to look through. I especially like the coupons I get. The bills stink though.

I love coupons too but usually give them to my daughter. I always forget to take them with me when I shop. What a waste.
