Will America take terrorism more seriously ONLY after another attack?

I am beginning to think most Americans suffer from amnesia. They have already forgotten what a mess 9-11 was and don't seem the least bit concerned about preventing another attack. Every effort the administration uses to prevent terrorism is met with criticism and resistance. Do Americans think if they ignore it then it won't happen? Then if it does happen, they will ask "why wasn't this prevented?" Too many people are more concerned with political correctness than truth and common sense.
