When a discussion gets deleted do you get notified?

I went to check a specific post and it was gone. I never got an e-mail or anything. Is that typical? This is the first message I have had disappear.

I responded to a topic that was removed yesterday and I didn't get notified of any deletions either.

Yes! You will be notified, just check your email and there you will see the notification including the response if your topics is being responded or if one of your responses is being responded.
