Updates on Pest Control

OMG JAGEX!!! Why did you update Pest Control? Ok, so the new point system is better, but why did you make it so that the portals have to be timed to be released? And who cares if people are making fun of noobs, they're always begging for money and items. Sure, a peaceful community is nice, but there is always time for competition. I believe the best solution would be to have a seperate server for level 70+ and another server for level 100+. There would be one for free players and another for members, making 4 new servers. This way, players would not have to worry about beggars, scammers, noobs, and autoers.Do you guys agree with me? If you do, write down a comment. Then I'll send Jagex a message about the servers and maybe they will do something about it.

WE ALL HATE JAGEX THEY KILLED PEST CONTROL, NOW I CANT GET 99 ATK AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. But the good part is No more noobs on Teh boat now.

what do you mean you can't get 99 attack??
pest control isn't the only way to train in runescape...
i have never put any pest control points onto strength, and yet i seem to have managed to get it to 96 (will be 97 in a day or 2).
pest control isn't the only thing to do in runescape you know lol!

yes it was easier to win previously, but if you look at my post above, i also found the old pc so very boring. winning in 45 seconds was not the point of the game... pest control was meant to be a mini game, not an exp farm.

Jagex did a good job with the PC updates, but the xp we were getting from the old points was better... And to get 4 new servers up and running... i imagine the RS2 servers are $3000 or more.. That's a hell of a lot of money...

I had never done PC before the updates, so I guess that I'll always know this as 'the way it was' until the next time they update it.
$9000, yeah a fair bit of money, but when they're getting $12 for each membership payment per month...
I think the players deserve it, personally.

ye i think this would be a great way to solve the 'noob' problem. they would still have to keep the old servers but just make 4 or more new ones. im not sure they would do it for f2p though.

thats true, so maybe just for members?
What I think that could solver another for autoers would be for jagex to sell RS gold for around $2 each? 1M is average around $3-7 on RS "black market" aka sythe. Anyways, that might solve the problem. Or maybe they could have block all connections coming from China? That way there would be no more sweatshop people messing up the game for normal people.

I personally loved this new update. It completely got rid of those level 60's and 70's who do nothing except stand around in PC.

personally i love this update and i will now play pc more often.
the original intenetion of pest control was to be a little bit like castlewars, but as it wasn't refined enough when it came out, it became apparent that people were using it as an exp farm...
pest control is actually meant to last for 20 minutes (like castlewars lasts 25 minutes), but because of the ease in which higher levels like myself (i am lvl 116) could kill portals in a matter of seconds (shortest game i played has beed 43 seconds) the game wasn't doing what it should.
i was bored of the old pc with in a month... and i very rarely played it unless i wanted some hp exp (i hate how sloly hp raises in normal combat).
i love this new pest control because you actually have to do something other than kill the portals, you now actually have to have a stratagy and take care of the knight, kill the pests and the portals. it doesn't bother me that games take longer... that was the point in the 20 minute timer in the first place!
it's now easier to get your "zeal" and as we 100+s get 4 points per game, we actually get MORE exp than the old pest control plus there is no world hopping needed!
the only loosers in this update are actually the lvl 40-69s as 2 points per game makes an exp loss, and from what i have seen on the forums, they are finding it very hard to win. those on the intermidiate boat have no loss nor gain as 3 of the new points = the same as the old 1 point.

the update sounds harder but if there are more prizes then i am happy. hope this turns out good

I must say i enjoy the new pest control. And if you can find a world/boat with a bunch of players it really allows you to focus your attack on each portal therefore killing them faster. And yes pc was meant to be a fun minigame not an exp as bubby (i think)said. Alot of people dont like it but i think most do. However the server idea would be pretty good.
