Why do you like watching music videos like in MTV or Channel V?

I'm just curious. I was never a fan of music videos...whenever i get to see 1 (by clicking channels) i just stare for a few seconds then i switched the remote. I'm a bit distracted by the inconsistency of the visuals..specially the rock ones. I thought music videos are supposed to interpret or aid the song??? I don't get it. And then i see my siblings and my cousins (even my 10 yr old cousin), they really watch them. I love listening to music but I just don't get it. What do you like with music videos? Maybe you can help me figure this one out. thanks a lot!

I like to watch the music videos a lot. Im not concerned about the channel in which I watch the movie, but the most important thing for me is about the band and the song Im watching. I like the music videos that are animated, such as the Crazy frog, which are so much fun to watch, at the same time, good to hear too...
