hello, i have a 3.0ghz intel dual core pc, using a motherboard with a built in video card and powered by 500watt power supply. Connected to the mother board is a 300gig ide hard disk, a 300gig and a 500gig SATA hard disks, and a dvd burner. I'm planning to add one more 500gig SATA hard disk. Will the power supply be able to handle the extra hard disk? I'm using this computer as a media storage. Thanks

you dont have to worry about your power supply. Your worries will be on memory(RAM).

Your 500 watt should be able to handle everything. The only thing I would consider worrying if you were burning an item while transferring large amount of items, while also using a graphic intensive program. But most users don't do that. You might possibly run into problems if it is a not too well known of a brand.
