Ever since I was a kid we have maid in our home. But my grandfather's very strict that he treated maids as maid not part of the family and when they are leaving our home, they asks us to check their bags and luggage if they stole things from us (suspicious grandfather eh? hehehe) Now that I have family and have kid, I hired nanny for the very first time on my own to take care of the kid if me and my husband is in work. We treated her nice, treat her as part of the family and gave her some shoes and sandals that I'm not using anymore. Then one day she's not doing her job properly and doesn't listen to what I tell her to do until my mom visit us and me and my husband are going out to fix some things. Nanny and Mother are in the house. Our good friends of ours visited also and nanny welcomed her while holding my kid in her arms and the kid is holding in the crib then the kid slip fell down and bump her head on the floor (according to my mother's story). She saw everything. When we got home they told us what happened and I went to the nanny's room and found her there crying. She admit what happened she want to leave, me and my hubby talk to her until she changed her mind. She just ask permission to take a day off the next day to see a doctor because she have a very bad cough and she will be meeting her sister to give some things and we allowed her. The next day I woke up early and found my kid alone (she still sleeps with the baby if we have work the next day and my kid is just a year)! and check nanny things and found her things gone! she just left the things that she's not going to use anymore and she send an text message to me explaining what happened. In shock, of course I got mad but i didn't mind it. I keep calm and replied her why she did it of course i got no reply. Until one day i heard that she told her cousin that's why she leave the house is because of me! OMG! ME?! I kept quiet since she leave then that's what I get in return? Not only that, earlier I cleaned the whole house. Cleaned the shoe section of and found out that my favorite sandals that has a stainless heels is gone! The one that I just used for once and just kept it because it was really nice and my favorite... No one else who get it but she's the one only! Because when i gave her some of my shoes and sandals she look that sandals very amaze and we have the same size! After all what we did these is what I got in return... Lesson for me, never trust and never get close anymore to your maid or nanny!

actually i dont have any maid or nanny but from my mother inlaw house they have 3 housemaid and they dont have any trouble for them actually they already 5 yrs with them, they treat them like family so they make also thier job. i think you need to check first your nanny or house before you become good to them.because they just take for granted if you become good to them in first day.

Ever since my grandma get stroke, we employ a maid to take care her but this maid really give my parent headache. We employ her because my mother need a helper help her take care my grandma but this maid come to my house never help my mum never mind and yet want my mum take care her 3 meals a day. The maid can tell my mother that her previous employer never ask her do house work before. Her ex-employ will cook for her. I really not understand what kind of maid she is. Now I already send her back to her country.
