Tell us more about it. Was it the color of the setting sun on the clouds, if so it was probably a plane. Did it have color in it's tail kind of like sparkles? If so it may have been space debris falling to Earth. Years ago I saw a large object shoot across the sky with a colored tail that sparkled, turns out it was a satellite that fell.

Well if it moved that slow it wouldn't be a failing anything. I really don't know what it would have been, the first pic looks like the jet trail of a plane but your right they don't move all that slow, all though the higher the plane the slower it looks like it is going. You have me stumped if you find out what it was let us know.

Perhaps it is the International Space Station. That takes about 30 minutes to cross the sky I believe.

Possible falling star in flames...I have seen some at night like this before. Or a jet plane as it also appears to have a twin looking flame. Thats all I can think of...

It's probably a plane.
Like a red arrow (if your not sure) they're show planes which let out smoke when they fly. I doubt it's a comet but a falling object is a maybe but rare, so I would go for guess it was a plane.

Could be several different things, hard to tell. Looks mostly to me like exhaust of a very high jet because it looks like it has 2 strips.

Hello stacyv81!
There can be only two possibilities about this picture:
1. It is a very high altitude flying plane. I know that you have commented that you saw it for 30 minutes. Let me tell you that the continental bound flights fly very high and on normal days they are usually not visible because of the mist and haze present in the atmosphere. On a very clear sunny day/evening, you can see them and they will appear moving very, very slow considering their distance from ground. I am also saying that because of the trail. You can see that the trail appears to separate into 2 soon after it leaves the object. Smaller trail is also supporting the fact that there is much less moister in atmosphere, otherwise the trail will be long.
2. It is a space shuttle and the trail is of the booster rockets. Booster rockets are smaller rockets attached to the shuttle along side main rocket to give it an extra lift, but it seems less likely because they separate in earlier stage
If you can tell the exact date when you saw it, I'll be in a better position to locate and precise whether it's an air craft or a space craft. I am attaching a picture of DeltaII which was launched on june 7, 2007.

Well it is definitly something. What seems to still be a mystery. Like everyone else said it looks like a trail from a plane of some sort, but the fact that it was moving so slow it most likely is not. Very strange! Please let us know if you find out what it is. Have you asked around your town to see if others saw it and what it possibly could be? You may even want to share it with the local news company. They may be able to figure it out by putting something on the air about it. Just a thought.

OMG THIS IS A SPACE SHIP!!! -_-"
Hehe
Don't be so concerned about it, dude. Maybe it's just a airplane doing something strange. It happens all the time.
