One of my favorite verses in the bible is II Corinthians 5:7 It says " For we walk by faith, not by sight." I like it because it speaks to my heart about the fact that sometimes when we are walking in God's will, that we can't always see the outcome. But, we must still follow him, because HE does know where we are headed. If we continue to walk in the spirit, then He will guide us on the right path. What is your favorite verse. Why do you like it, and what does it say to you?

My favorite bible verse is "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." Philippians 4:13. I find that it really helps me to get through tough situations and to keep believing in Him no matter what the circumstances.

Bible verses - Very pretty photo of a bible and a lily
It is one of my favorites as well. There are so many good things in Philippians. I wish I had Paul's faith. Or Peter's. Or Timothy's. Or King David's. It's too bad that most of the time I end up feeling like Jonah.

(Jn.14:6 Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. ) this tells me that in order to enter heaven the home of God there is but one person through wich we can gain entrance !JESUS all else is useless good intentions will not do it good works will not do it only the acceptance of jesus as lord and his sacrifice for all our sins can

That is a good one! There are so many who think they can work their way to heaven, and this is a great reminder that it simply isn't true!

This would have to be the hardest question to answer!!! How can I possibly choose one verse from so many? My favourite verse would have to depend on the circumstances at the time - my needs at the time. This is why it is so important to read and memorise the Word: to have it right there when needed. I could list a hundred "favourite" verses but I guess one that would sum up my experience of a wonderful relationship with my loving heavenly Father for 49 of my 71 years, would be: Psalm 40:5 "Many, O Lord, are Thy wonderful works which Thou hast done, and Thy thoughts which are to usward. They cannot be reckoned up in order unto Thee. If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered."

I love that verse! Of course I love the Psalms, and often go to them when I need a pick me up or some inspiration or just a gentle reminder that GOd loves me and is in control of my life!

I love Micah 6:8. "You have been told, O man, what is good, and what the LORD requires of you: Only to do the right and to love goodness, and to walk humbly with your God." It fuels my social justice activism.

Hi carpenter5! My favorite verse in the Bible is the one that staes, "Be still and know that I am God." I forgot if it is in what book: either in Psalm or Proverbs. :) I like it because in life, I feel like everything depends on me. I feel that I am responsible for everything and to what I am doing with my life. I forgot that sometimes, I just have to be still and know that He is God and that He will always be there for me to guide me in everything that I do. *singing* "When the oceans rise and thunders roar, I will soar with You above the storm Father You are King over the land I will be still and know You are God." :) Take care and GOd bless! \(",)_

This is truly a great verse of scripture. There is a song by Steven curtis Chapman that is that same verse, set to music. It's an awesome worship song. Sometimes when I'm feeling low, I set the CD player to play that one song over and over and over again. It helps to remind me that God is in control...no matter what the circumstances going on in my life at the time.
