What is Needed to Create a Peaceful World?

What do you think is needed to create a peaceful world? Are there things that we as individuals can do? Is it out of the control of regular people? Do you think it is possible to create a peaceful world or do you think this is the way the world will end, with people warring against each other? I tend to believe we have the capacity for peace but that capacity has not been realized. Also, that there are many who benefit from war. I think we all have a responsibility to make this a better world, especially for our children. And that means finding ways to make a more peaceful world. How do we do that?
