clip my dogs toenails. I didn't think this was going to be hard. Everytime I pick up her paw, she pulls it away. So here we are inching our way backwards. I managed to get 2 of them done. I have never done it before, the vet did. I just thought that I could do it, I have the right clippers. She doesn't cry or bite, she just pulls away.. I don't want to traumatize her. I will just have to tell her that I am the boss and this is going to happen whether she wants it to or not..LOL. Suggestions?

I have tried to clip our cat's nails. Well, needless to say, I decided that I didn't want to have my arms shredded and gave up that notion. Wish I had some ideas for you. Good luck.

I have done kittens, but some cats are scary..I think she will trust me soon enough. I will probably have to have my husband hold her paw.

i cut my dogs paw when i first did it so i have never clipped them again, just let them have lots of walks on concrete helps them keep them down but i cut my two kids fingers as well when i first cut there nails as well, so i get someone else to cut i don't think i should be allowed to pick up nail clippers when it comes to animals or humans so i'm the worst person to ask

That is my biggest fear. I do think that you should stay away from the clippers..for your safety and the safety of everyone around you..LOL.. I do have concrete, I will have them walk on it everyday and see what happens. I would just worry about their pads becoming sore from the concrete. Thank you.
