Suave Sleek Shampoo and Conditioner - Better than the more expensive brands?

Do you think that Suave brand shampoos and conditioners are just as good as the expensive brands? I do. I just bought Suave Sleek shampoo and conditioner on Sunday and have used it 4 days in a row. My hair feels so much nicer and looks great. The layers hang together much nicer and smoother. The fragrance is awesome too.

I think everyone has a different type of hair and some things work for one and they don't for another. I find some products keep my hair under control and others let it fly. I don't think price has that much to do with it as much as your hairtype.

I suppose that's true. If my hair was really curly instead of just moderately wavy, it might not have been as effective in producing my desired effect.

I use Aussie 3 minute miracle from walmart and it is the best conditioner ever! I used to use biolage because my hair has always been thick and freezy and it helped a little but Aussie is so much better and so much cheaper so i got the shampoo to go with it!!!

Honestly no- I have tried them and was not impressed- I have pretty thick hair and it's snarly- nothing that I tried would condition my hair- I'm glad that it works for you though- We even tried the curly hair kind for my daughter and it was terrible- every time I got a whiff of her head my sinuses acted up- I'm a Pantene girl!

I think their products are pretty good but I have thin hair now and the shampoo that helps me thicken it is Pantene. My mom used to use sauve all the time and she loved it

Hi Trace86, thanks for the info, I am going to try the Suave products and see if they work for me. I have never used these products but perhaps they are as good as the name brands. It would be a nice savings if I can find Suave products that work for my hair. Thanks for the discussion...take care.

I don't know about the other products, but I hate their cheapest shampoos and conditioners (the ones that are like 80 cents or a dollar or something). They are just mostly water. I haven't used their other products, though.

Suave is my favorite brand of all. My daughter has let me try her Pantene, and other brands she's gotten, and I just didn't like them at all. I have baby fine hair, and even those that are made for that type of hair seem to weight it down. I don't have that happen with Suave. I try them, and the next day I always go back to my trusty Suave. Aren't some of their fragrances awesome?!

I have bought the Suave products for many years. Beside being cheaper, they are very good on my hair. I have very hard well water and its sometimes hard to find a shampoo that works good with it. Suave does a real good job for me.

My husband always buys stuff on sale, so sometimes I get really weird shampoos and conditioners. But he did buy me Suave strawberry and I just love it! When I remember, I remind him to buy that the next time instead of some mystery shampoo I've never heard of. LOL

I love buying stuff on sale. Sometimes the VO5 is really cheap. And sometimes the Suave. I am so happy I found a Suave formula that totally detangles my hair without using a separate detangler after.

I personally hate suave shampoo and conditioner. It leaves my hair feeling like straw and it tangles more easily when I use it. So even if I'm on a budget, I avoid it like the plague. When I need shampoo and conditioner but can't afford the "good stuff" I get V05.

i've been using suave shampoo for like 2 months now.i think it's ok. i'm using suave naturals in aloe vera and waterlily. it has a mild scent. i'm not using the conditioner though, that's why i can't compare how my hair looks now from before, especially since i used to wear conditioner. i just feel as if all the junk i've been putting on my head was really weighing all of it down. i'm glad that i swithced to suave naturals, but i still have to try the conditioner.

I like suave since it is economical and it works great with my families hair type. It isn't good all the time though. My mom has hard water from a well and has to use the more expensive brands in order to keep the iron in her water from turning her hair red. Suave can also, over a long period of time, leave a build up on your hair but I found that if you invest $6 in a bottle of neutragena's shampoo that strips your hair of all the grime and use that once a month it works out.

neutragena's shampoo is really good . I have a bottle for about 3 months and will use it a few times a month . It is great how it makes hair look better and feel lighter.

I have used smooth and sleek to by suave and it works just as well as matrix does. In the summer I like to use a suave 2 in 1 cleaning shampoo because it helps rise out all the junk in my hair after I swim . I wanna try something else though soon because a product wont keep working great on my hair . Dove the system for hair does my wavy hair nice .I just want something that will bring life back to my hair , because summer rips most of the life out . So, maybe I will try something that is more money.

I use Suave. I love it. It never leaves my hair heavy or oily. And my hair always smells great afterwards. I love the berry scented one the best.
