Who is strict parent monther o rfather

My father was always the stricter parent in my family. Sadly my mother was afraid of him and did not really stand up to him to defend my sister and I the way she should have. People outside of our immediate family just dind't know what was going on, so it was easy for him to cover up his behaviour.
