Best Filipino Recipe!

Hi, all...what's the best Filipino Recipe? I love adobo...and i'll share the recipe with you today! This is called Chicken-Pork Adobo Ingredients: - 1/2 kilo pork, cut in cubes - 1/2 kilo chicken, cut into pieces - 1 head garlic, minced - 1/2 yellow onion, diced - 1/2 cup soy sauce - 1 cup vinegar - 2 cups of water - 1 teaspoon paprika - 5 laurel leaves (bay leaves) - 4 tablespoons of cooking oil or olive oil - 2 tablespoons cornstarch - 3 tablespoons water Procedure: 1) In a big sauce pan or wok, saute garlic and onions on cooking hot 2 tablespoon of oil. 2) Add the pork and chicken to the pan. Add 2 cups of water, 1/4 cup of soy sauce, vinegar, paprika and the bay leaves. Bring to boil. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes or when meat is tender. 3) Remove the pork and chicken from the sauce pan and on another pan, heat cooking oil and brown the pork and chicken for a few minutes. 4) mix the browned pork and chicken back to the sauce and add cornstarch dissolved in water to thicken. Bring to a boil then simmer for an additional 5 minutes. 5) Serve hot with the adobo gravy and plain rice. Enjoy your adobo! :)

i love adobo also thats one filipino dish that's easy to make as the ingredients is not hard to find.. what i'm missing is kare-kare, laing and bicol express.

I don't have a recipe, but I love lumpia with all my heart. My mom has a great recipe she got at least 25 years ago from a Filipino friend that I keep forgetting to ask her for. Although I've really enjoyed most lumpias that I've tried.

Wow, I feel hungry already. I also love adobo. Its one of my favorite dishes. I also love pork sinigang or shrimp sinigang especially if it has been made with real tamarind instead of the pork cubes. So yummy.
