Not to sound vain or anything, but does anybody know of a good skin care regimen to remove facial acne? for some reason, my face can't seem to get rid of these imperfections for quite awhile now. i have actually gone to a dermatologist and had it treated. but for some reason, i still get it and i think it's getting worse. my dermatologist, seeing that her treatment is not doing me any good, advised me to go to an obstetrician-gynecologist, since she said the cause of my acne could be hormonal. i went two days ago and the OB-GYNE said nothing was wrong with me. i am getting quite desperate already. can anybody help?

A pimple starts when the pores in the skin become clogged with a type of oil called sebum, which normally lubricates the skin and hair. Because many oil are on the forehead, nose, and chin they are most prone to get pimples in this area. You can try washing your face gently twice a day with warm water and a mild soap. Overwashing and scrubbing can cause skin to become irritated. Don't pop pimples. It's tempting but can lead to a bigger infection or scarring.Avoid touching your face with your fingers or leaning your face on objects that collect sebum and skin residue like the telephone receiver. Touching your face can spread the bacteria that cause pores to become inflamed and irritated. Remove your makeup before you go to sleep and look for "noncomedogenic" or "nonacnegenic" on the label. Keep hair clean and out of your face to prevent additional dirt and oil from clogging your pores.
