i read in a website that 27 tons of waste is created just to produce 1 car alone. now with millions of cars roaming around, earth must be one big dumpsite already. i was shocked to have read this in the website's fact sheet. any thoughts on this?

Would move the garbage?wow,Describing the car is really appropriate, I don't have a car, although I like cars, but no money to buy and I felt the car fear, Perhaps it is because there was a car almost hit it, I heard that car pollution is very serious, don't know when the problem can be solved.

pollution is really very serious. more and more cars are manufactured each day, more and more appear on the streets creating traffic and pollution. i don't know when it's gonna be solved unless everybody just use bicycles perhaps... =)

No I dont have a car even though I want a nice one like a corvette but im in no rush because I just drive my parents lexus or hybrid most of the time and I love the hybrid because I save a lot on gas I barley ever have to fill it up I was thinking of getting a corvette or a mustang for a car but now I might get a hybrid if I could save because I wont have to use gas that much.

it would be nice to get an efficient car that uses less gas... saves your pocket and saves the environment too. =)

I have a car, which I bought when I lived in a small town where it was essential to have a car to get from one end of town to another. The bus system was pretty much useless there. Now that I've moved to a city with good public transportation, I don't really need my car, but I still owe too much money on it. If I sold it, I'd still be making payments on it!

I do have a car. I too am surprised by this figure, it does seem to be quite a lot. However, it is not a problem if all of it is successfully re-used. I suspect this must be partially true or as you say Earth would be a dumpsite!!!!

yeah, i'm really surprised too by the figure. i got it from a site i was visiting. my sister studied a short course on environmental management and you'd be surprised by the amount of wastes companies generate. and if they are not recycled, definitely earth is gonna be one big dumpsite. =)
