What people look for in a friend?

I look for some one that is friendly, outgoing, some that I could trust with anything I say and that will not say anything to anyone else, and someone that will be there when I need someone.
That is what I look for in a friend What do you?

Well really someone that my have similar interest as me or/and who is very trustworthy. I've been recently back stabbed by someone who i thought was my friend. So now I choose really carefully of who I want to be close friends with or someone I would want to have a 3 minute chat with.

A friend in need is a friend indeed. People need friends because they would like to share their happiness, sorrow, miseries and difficultires in life. It is just enough if one shares it and need not necessarily help them to wipe out all their miseries. They seek friendship for companionship.

Well, I look for someone I can have a drink with or party with and someone who will help me out when I need it. Perhaps more importantly, someone who can take all my nonsense. I can be full of it sometimes. Ok fine, all the time.:p But I guess we all have friends for mutual benefit.s

Well, back to your topic. I will look for someone who will share with me my happiness and sorrow and will always be with me during good and bad times.
I am looking for someone who can understand me truly, always believe me and will show me the right path if ever I made a wrong turn in life.
I am looking for a truly friend who always be just right there, when I need her the most. *smile*
