Have you heard "Ooky Spooky" yet?

We got to see Voltaire in Seattle on Tuesday night, and picked up a copy of his latest CD, "Ooky Spooky," which isn't technically out for another couple of weeks. I'm really enjoying the CD, though I do think it's a little more adult than some of his previous CDs have been. "Cantina," in particular, is definitely not the sort of song that would get played on the radio. My two favorites so far are "Stuck with You," which he sings with Amanda Palmer from The Dresden Dolls, and "Bomb New Jersey." But I honestly don't dislike any of the songs on the whole CD. And, of course, since I bought it at the show, I got it autographed as well. :)

Check his MySpace... apparently there is information on getting the CDs in advance. Though that might also require PayPal. :)

Gotta be honest, I'd never heard of Voltaire before but went and checked out some of his stuff on Itunes (didn't have the album you mentioned). The music is not really my cup of tea but I like his voice...kinda reminded me of Peter Murphy a little whic made me go and but my 2 fave PM songs (Roll Call, and Marlene Dietrich's Favourite Poem)....this post just cost me $1.98....thanks...LOL

His music may be something of an acquired taste. His lyrics are really funny, though!
