Do you have any problems recieving child support?

I am going through a bit of a rough patch with my soon to be ex, where he is off to learn how to drive a truck. Well that is fine and dandy but he hasn't paid me in two weeks. And the last payement was so small it was ridiculous. I have filed papers to take him to court but that was over a month ago and they haven't been served yet. Does anyone else have problems getting child support, and what do you do? I try not to rely on it, but there are things the kids want to do and without it, they can't do it.

The father of my daughter was supporting her pretty well on her first to up my daughter 6 years of age. Just last year, I was so confused he never send support money to us with very invalid reason...... Planning to bring this issue on court but my mom never want to. She said we can still without my daughter's father support.

I think each parent should make an effort to be in the childrens lives and help out. I would take it to court.
