I have a wedding DVD that I want to download into my computer to watch and to put into an iPod. Does anyone know how to do this? Or what program to use?

Well ive been trying to figure this out for months when i got my zune player so I could download movies to it. The only thing I know of how to download movies onto your labtop or pc is to get a dvd ripper which usually cost around $30 to buy and then to donload them on to your ipod you would need a dvd converter to convert your file so it would be able to work with your ipod hope that helps and good luck.

they don't really mean downloading but copying/ripping the footage from an existing dvd them converting into ipod format video.

I am currently trying to do the same thing, so I will keep a lookout to see what everyone else suggests. Someone earlier suggested Handbrake, and I downloaded it, but I cannot get it to work, I think it is not windows Vista adaptable. But, hopefully someone has a better answer then I have. Good luck.

For my money... Real Player is the best music software in the business. But you will need to purchase the full version in order to connect it to your iPod. I have been using Real Player for 10 years and did purchase the full version in 2001 for $19.95. Since then... I have been getting the new updates and new versions for free. You still can purchae it for the same price. With Real Player you can do just about anything. It is compatible with everything. You can connect many devices to it. You can convert, transfer and burn files. This is the program you need for your iPod. I cannot tell you how to do all this because I don't have an iPod. But it should not be too difficult as Real Player is easy to use and to understand. If you have a problem... it will be in regard to your DVD and what software or device you did use to make it. If you can watch your DVD on your computer... it is a good start and Real Player should not have a problem with it. Nero 7 is the program I use to work with DVDs... but that program is a lot more expensive and does not work with iPods. You may also have a codec problem. You can download a free pack of codecs from http://www.k-litecodecpack.com/
