What can I do with green apples dropped from tree?

I have a couple of apple trees, and a child who likes to climb trees. I'm not entirely sure the two are related, but today I noticed many green apples on the ground at the base of one of the trees. I've looked at a couple of them, and other than being off the tree, they look okay. What I need to know is, can I do anything with those apples? My hubby joked that they could be bait. I answered that hunting season is a ways away yet. Some have only a slight blush, but primarily they are still green. I'm not sure what kind of apples they are. They came with the place when we bought it, but they are similar to MacIntosh apples. I do know that it isn't how tart they are that makes using green apples questionable. It is that they will loosen the bowels, and we don't really want that. Any suggestions?

Hi there. Green apples make a great dessert, if cooked right down to a thick sauce with brown sugar and cinnamon, youcan also freeze this for a later time, or you can put all this into a pie, or make an apple crumble out it...

Thank you. A more serious suggestion hubby made was to make apple sauce or apple butter out of them. I'll try the pie and see how it turns out.
