any diabetics out there?

im 26 and diabetic (7-8 yrs now) and ive never gotten to a normal range. im really bad about peeks and valleys. its sux cuz i allways feel like crap. plus i need to lose weigh wondering if anyone elase out there has had a past with simalar problems and if they found a fix.thanks

My husband is diabetic - for about the last 10 years or so. It has really taken a toll on his body. It is our understanding that weight loss is the only "cure". It is so very important that you lose weight and exercise regularly.

Are you on insulin or just pills? I too have trouble with peaks and valleys. My biggest problem is that if I don't eat I am high and if I do eat it is unpredictable if I will be high or low. There is no consistency to it. I wonder if you are the type 3 that has just recently been discussed in the health care communitee.
