Are you depressed?

How many people out there are depressed and doing nothing about it? Maybe you don't even realise that you're depressed. You think that you're just tired, run down, stressed, feeling sorry for yourself. This is depression, in it's mildest form. If you don't do anything about mild depression, it may escalate into your worst nightmare. At it's best, it'll sit there in your life, keeping you from ever being truly happy. Recognising the early warning signs of depression gives you that chance to prevent it from getting. Sometimes, all it takes is a simple change to your life and you're back on track. Do yourself a favour and take a good look at your own life today. How are you really feeling? Think about it!

I am depressed, and I realize that I should do something about it. But I keep putting it off, and I realize that is bad. I keep telling myself it will get better. Don't get me wrong, I'm not horribly depressed, but I could definitely be happier!

Most people in the world would say that they could be happier, but rarely do anything about it. Being depressed is a bit more than that. Even if you're only mildly depressed, left unresolved, it could easily escalate without you realising it. It is human nature to 'put off' those things that we really don't want to face, but I doubt if it will go away by it's self. You don't necessarily need medication or years of therapy, there are many simple solutions if you're prepared to look. Talk to someone, it doesn't have to be face to face, the internet has lots of suitable forums that could help you out. You deserve to be happy, do something about feeling depressed, even if it's one small step. Tale care.
