Which formulae can one make use of to calculate quadratic equation in M.S. Excel

Hi! I was performing calculation on wednesday using Microsoft Excel on quadratic equation by formular method, but I couldn't just get the correct answer compare to the one I solved on paper. I used=-b+((b)^2-4*a*(c)^0.5)/2*a and=(-b+(b^2-4*a*c)^0.5/2*a. This is the equation I used x^2+3x-10=0, but it couldn't just give me the right answer. Do you have any suggestion please? Is it possible to perform quadratic equation using Microsoft Excel? If so, what is the right formular? Thanks for your response in advance.
