sure was beautiful. he stood about 24 inches tall. He held his left wing slighty away from his body, due to arthritis. The guy also said that the Eagle has had 2 strokes and a heart attack already, and he had cataract surgery. Our town is having there annual Rib Festival and this guy had Eagles, Falcons, and Hawks. They were awesome. He even had two baby Falcons that were 5 weeks old today. They still had some baby feathers on them. He said the oldest Golden Eagle lived to be 46 years old. And to think we only went to get some ribs, which by the way were great. That was worth the trip.

Yes, it was awesome. Just to think he was as old as me. That is really cool.

How awesome! It sounds like the old guy is definitely a tough one to have gone through all of that in his life. There is a resident golden eagle around here that has his nest in one of the old oak trees near my house. He's absolutely gorgeous. Thanks for sharing that hon. I bet it was a lot of fun to see all of those gorgeous birds.

He was awesome. I wish I would have snapped a picture with my cell phone, but of course, I wasn't thinking about that. It is only a mile from where I live so I was thinking of going back down and getting a piture with my good camera. And then if I am lucky I will be able to put it on here so everyone can see him. To have one living right in your back yard is so cool. thank you and you are welcome.

I live very near a nature Center and have had Bald Eagles land on my fence in the back yard. Everytime they do I run to get my digital camera and then they're gone when I get back outside. I also have sat outside for hours on end waiting with my camera and no luck yet. Someday I'll get a nice close shot of one sitting on my fence. All Eagles are awesome and beautiful birds. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

That must be a site to see. We have 4 pairs of Bald Eagles that nest around here, in about a 20 mile radius. I hope you do get a close up picture of them. They are so beautiful. We take our binoculars up to the Dam and look for them. Sometimes you will hear them, and they will fly out and then return to the trees and talk to us from there. They feed on the carp and other fish that are at the Dam. thank you

I live about a half of a mile from a Nature center in a suburb of Minneapolis Minnesota. I have had Bald Eagles land on my back fence staring at me in my windows. Everytime I go to get my camera he/she is gone. I have sat outside a couple times with my digital camera waiting for the Eagle to land again and of course there aren't any around when you wait. Someday I'll get a great shot of a wild Bald Eagle 10 feet from me. Eagles are very graceful birds for their size. I love seeing them a lot. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
