Oh my goodness, they are growing like weeds!!! Their eyes were opened this morning when I went out to check on them. They are troopers. Mommy has been coming every night to feed, just like the web site said she would and they are very healthy and happy! I just love these guys! Look how much bigger they are now!!

They really look like little bunnies now, don't they? I'm so glad you are keeping us posted and sending us pics on them. They are so cute.

Unless you saw some blood or bits of fur on the ground, I wouldn't worry about them. These are wild bunnies and were probably ready to leave the nest anyway. I used to have nests of them in our yard all summer long and they don't stay in the nest for long before the mother has them out hopping around and getting food. If you look outside in the very early morning light, you might see them hopping around your yard. :)

They sure do grow fast. They sure are cute. We had 3 of them is a nest next to our house last year. I kept checking on them and they were growing so I knew the mommy was caring for them. I checked daily, but didn't touch them. One day I went out and they were gone. I am thinking either she took them somewhere else or the stray cats got them. I felt so bad. I kept looking to see if they would be hopping in the back yard but could never find them or their mother. I hope she had just moved them. I made sure I didn't touch them.

I was worried about touching them too, but then, I read on the internet that mommy rabbits don't usually abandon their babies if they are touched. I have held them daily at least for a few seconds and the mom is still coming and feeding them. I figure it won't be long and they will take off on their own. I hope they hang out in my yard! We just found them last Saturday and were hardly recognizable as rabbits!! It's amazing how fast they have grown!

Oh how sweet! It must be so much fun to watch them be fed and grow! Isn't nature amazing? I'm afraid I'd have deep, dark circles under my eyes if I were you...as I would want to watch them rather than sleep! I'd also want to hold them constantly!

The first thing I do in the morning is go out, in my night gown no less, to check on them!!! But, I love my sleep, so I won't give up sleeping to watch mommy come to feed!! LOL!!! I think I'd worry that the lights would keep her from coming.

Holy moly...they have gotten bigger....momma must sure be taking good care of them to grow like that...Are you by any chance going to keep at least one for yourself as a possible pet? I know I couldn't resist

Oh goodness, no way am I even considering keeping one as a pet. We have a cat who we DEARLY love, however, for 9 years, my husband and i have had to restrain from going on weekend trips, road trips, retreats, etc. . . because of the CAT! We love her soooooooo much, and that's why it's so hard to 'just leave her.' She is HIGH maintenance with kidney problems and it's so hard to go out of town because of her. Even though we love her, we both look forward to the day that we no longer have a pet to tie us down!! It will be a very very sad day when my Weebles is gone, but bitter sweet, you know what I mean? Anyway, YES, mama is taking excellent care of these little guys! They have changed so much it's hard to believe that just last Saturday, I could still see wrinkles in their skin! They are soooooo cute and HOPPY!

yes, they are cottontails. We found them last Saturday while digging up some ground cover. I felt bad, so I used a bunch of bush branches that I had clipped for their shelter. It seems to have worked pretty well. They are so sweet.
