Does anyone have a Parakeet with a "Tumor"?

I have a 6 year old Parakeet, named Buddy. She was diagnosed with a tumor more than 7 months ago, and is still ALIVE! The tumor is blocking her from laying her egg, but she's still with us. Ornery, but with us. And she's constantly acting like I am her mate. Her companion died last December, so we think she's just lonely. Has anyone encountered this type of thing?
