West Nile Virus should I risk it?

Two years ago my daughter got West Nile and I am sure she got it when we went to the Rodeo. Well it is Rodeo weekend again and already this week she has run a low grade temp I am really concerned about letting her go to the Rodeo. I will never forget what we went through with the virus the first time. The poor thing had such a bad headache she would wake up crying from it. The first doctor said she had sinus infection which I found out later that is usually one of the first things doctors will tell people with West Nile. I was lucky to find another doctor that had treated someone with it and sure enough it is what she had. It was a very long time getting her back to normal so that she could even get out of bed. I don't want to be overly protective but I am just worried about her getting it when her body is already fighting something. What do you think?

If it were my daughter, I would not risk it. The rodeo can be missed ~ it won't be the end of the world. Instead of going to the rodeo, take your daughter to a different fun activity.

If she has already had this virus and she is running a low grade fever I would put my foot down and say no to this rodeo. There are other rodeos if not somewhereelse then next year. It's not that her life depends on going. These young people think that there is no tomarrow so the parents have to think for them
