Alcohol.... Is It So Tasty?

I cant even like to drink just a swallow of it. Really it tastes bitter. And besides, its not good for health especially liver. I am even alergy to it. If I drink any kinda drinks that have alcohol in them, I will be scratching for few days and its suffering. How can people can drink it every day just like drinking water? How can people drink it so much without feeling anything?
