Do you think that this saves money on gas in the long run?

When I was first taught how to pump gas, I was told to turn off the gas pump. Squeeze the trigger on the gas nozzle and get every last drop. So, naturally this became a habit for me. With the rise in gas prices, I started thinking to myself. I wonder how many gallons of additional gas I've gotten over my lifetime as a driver from being in that habit. Do you think that this saves money on gas in the long run? Does anyone else do this? What are your thoughts on this?

I don't know if it does or not but I do the same thing. I noticed this one time at the gas pumps, there are a lot of people doing this. I guess ever drop counts. I hate that gas is so high. It is outrageous. I could not imagine what it will be when my children are grown. It has went up almost two dollars since my child was first born and that wasn't that long ago. I sound old when I say this but I am not that old.
