DEPLETED URANIUM, have you ever read metal of dishonor?

I have to admit I knew very little what became of the soldiers that complained of sickness after the gulf war in the early 90's. I recently viewed a website that talked about it and it oulined this book. I was shocked to learn that depleted uranium might have been the cause of it. Of course when I was in they were using it on tanks but we were told it couldnt cause any health problems whatsoever. I was even more mortified when I seen a video about birth defects that they believe might be caused by depleted uranium or DU for short.
