Do you let your pets lick your face?

My cats can lick anywhere they want. I'm not so fond of having my eyelids licked, just because the skin is too sensitive and it can be quite painful. But I love having my hands, face, feet, or whatever licked by my cats.
I like dogs, but I can't stand them licking me. I can even kiss their nose, but if that tongue comes out, I jump back. The worst is my face, or the palms of my hands. Nope, can't do it!! If I'm in the presence of a dog who just HAS TO lick, I'll offer my arm or something. But I DO NOT let them lick me in the face EVER!!!
Cats give dry...exfoliating kisses, dogs give slimey slobber kisses. When a cat licks, it feels good, when a dog licks, it feels like you gotta go wash the slime off. Some dogs aren't so juicy, and I have enjoyed being licked on my arm or something by a soft warm tongue. So there are exceptions to this. But regardless of how they lick, they would never be allowed to lick my face.

It is not good to allow them to do so.The saliva of pets can create some problem,especially for chldrens.Dont forget to wash your hands,after dealing with pets.

All three of us try to keep the pets away from our faces but they end up licking us anywhere, when we're not looking. Often the dog will get me when I'm bending down to put on my shoes, or something. The cats get me when I'm lying down on the bed.

Boy, this discussion has more information than I ever wanted to hear! EEW! LOL! I'm with you! Don't like dog licks...sorry not a dog person. I'm a cat person and don't mind cat licks on the arm...exfoliating is a great word for it...their tongues are rough.

But they feel so good, and they don't leave you dripping afterwards. My kitty Chakotay likes to sleep on my pillow and sometimes licks my face. He likes to lick my eyelids, but that really hurts. I try to tolerate it a bit, just cuz I like his kisses, but if he does it too hard, I gotta move away... give him my hand or something.

I am 30 years old and grew with animals like cats and dogs. And never had problems letting them lick my face. And actually never had any problems caused by animals, But i know it doesn't mean that i will not have any more, always need to e careful tough.

I don't let any of my pets lick me, I don't like the feeling especially my cat her tongue is so rough and I know what she does with her tongue that is a nono, my rabbits like to lick too and oncle I feel they're tongue somewhere on me they hat eot go beck into their cage, and my dog knows they can't do it because it just gets up under my skin and I feel so dirty. I just can't take it.

i have cats and a puppy and I let my cats lick my hand and feet and cheeks and some even like to try and wash my hair. LOL!!! But my puppers licks my feet and hands mostly and sometimes my cheek. LOL!! It just depends. on my mood. I love all my little furred beasties. LOL!!!

Ouch Ouch!
:o) Yes, I let my cats lick me, but I sometimes (in a way feel like I am fibbing when I do this), when she's about to lick my face, I give her a kiss on the nose, to beat her from reaching my face with her tongue, because it hurts so much! And on some days, I hold my breath, clench my teeth, and let her lick my face (ouch ouch ouch), but with such love, and love her back (not licking her back, of course, hee hee, but talking warmly and petting and pecking). :o)
