As most of you may know, I got into a huge fight one of our fellow mylotters over a minor disagrement.
It shouldn't have went as far as it did, but this person kept calling me names such as immoral.
They also said that they were far more knowledgable then a 21 year old housewife.
I know I should have just let it go, but, hell, I was drunk:D
I felt so bad because the person said they had reported me, and I was SURE I would be banned.
But I'M STILL HERE!
I feel though, I am skating on thin ice with mylot, so I will be sure to stay far away from this person.
Have any of you ever gotten into a fight with mylot over something menial that may have gotten too far out of hand?
Were you scared you would have been banned?

Glad you are still here. I have not got into any bad arguments on here but I have voiced my opinion rather strongly. If they want to ban me for speaking my mind or the truth so be it.

I found this fight today, and started doing some research. In reading posts you have made and replied to, an dposts she has read and replied to, I have a definite opinion. I don't like her one bit. You should not have anything to worry about. I checked out some of her posts, replied to some, and them decided to stop reading her stuff. I was disturbed. I don;t think you are skating on thin ice at all. She is. Having a disagreement here on mylot is OK. When it starts to get personal and vulgar, I have a real problem with that. Keep on posting!

No I can’t say that I have argued with another member and got scared that I would be banned. I must say though that I read the discussions and I really don’t want to name names nor point fingers but dang! That lady was really out of hand. I felt really bad because that kind of responses were unwarranted and made Mylot feel like an elementary school….
I am glad that you are still here and I hope that something can be done about the situation other than banning the individuals who are not at fault, I know that you had posted some things also but you are not the one who instigated it nor continued to seek the individuals who you didn’t agree with and continue to post rude statements as he/she did!

I woke up this morning and started looking around and I noticed that the little blue star is gone and I lost some points. That's what I get for stating my opinion I guess the first amendment doesn't mean anything in here. This must be run by Bin Laden. I refuse to state my true feelings anymore. I am going to keep my opinions to my self. but I still got your back! Hahahahaha

I know how hard it is to say nothing when someone verbally attacks us. Some people don't let it bother them at all and I realize that's the way it should be. After all it's just words, this is just the internet and all that. But, some of us, including myself are very sensitive and take these things very personally. I have been called some horrible names and once got in trouble for "fighting" back. I'm telling you it's not worth it. Stay away from that person and eventually they will get themselves in trouble. Don't worry about what anyone here has to say about you. They don't know you personally and can't say a damn thing about you.

Do not be afraid of mylotter and do not care who can report you or not, reporter is not mylot owner or not pet of them. Everyone has right to report if mylot guidelines is voilated and that is not final, mylot admin. will check whether is it legit or whimsical. If you voiled mylot guidelines then your discussion may delete not more than that. Your id will not deleted. The person who report to mylot for violation is guideline never would tell you his/her identity because you have friends then everyone will be enemy of him/her. Who will report against anyone without legit reason his/her point will loose and may be marked.

Well, we'll see what happens. I'm thinking going through her discussions & things & report her back. I am hoping that your explaining your side of the situation, that she just started in on you - unprovoked - means that her complaint was unwarranted. Maybe she'll be the one who gets banned for frivilous reporting, or reporting you when she was the agressor.

no i never and i don't want to... i always try to stay out of trouble and give in to people even though i know i am in theright position... i always think that giving in doesn't always mean that i lose... on the contrary, i feel like i already win by giving in because i didn't give in to my anger and i can control myself... and i always think that this world is already hard enough to make enemies... i always like peace... i'm glad that you are still here and i hope you can sort out your differences with the other person soon... good luck... :-)

I have never gotten into an argument with another mylotter. The closest I have came are very respectful disagreements where in the end we just had to agree to disagree and it was fine. Although I generally stay away from disagreeing with people that seem like they will get bent out of shape about things. Name calling is never okay and I would never do it. I will just say that based on recent events I have chosen to take a certain person from my friends list because I thought her behavior was unacceptable and rude. This person was obvious not you, so... lol

It is tru my friend, I used to fight with people at the begining but evrywhere there is some stratgies which helps people to do better there and when i became aware of the atrategies here how could i do better i stopped it and now i deal the things in other way, smile can also do a lot of things which anger cant, so i now use my smile...

Hi,
I can't say that I have ever had a fight or argument on MyLot. I have had a few disagreements however in which both of us took our opposing sides and that was it. I think that is what MyLot is supposed to be all about. When it becomes personal that is a definate problem.

i'm just new here. and i pray that it would never happen to me. but i still believe that fighting is not a way for any disagreement/s. anything can be done in a nicer way. ive never been banned in my entire life. hope it would never happen to me or anyone from mylot!!
