Anyone know some great pieces of free software? I'm looking for pretty much anything as long as it's great and free.

Heres some great free software that will help you automatically fill out forms on the internet. I love this and use it practically everyday. http://www.roboform.com/php/land.php?affid=kythe Heres some awesome free software that helps you to generate money making websites. I just got this myself and I'm still playing around with it but, it's really cool. http://www.hypervre.com/?affiliate=74981

Grisoft's AVG anti virus program is free and one of the best around. Companies are expected to pay a nominal sum and get a few more bells and whistles but the free version is perfectly adequate for home use. It updates every day and keeps its database of nasties up to date. It has a companion program called AVGS which is for spyware and I use that alongside SpywareDoctor - also free.

Maybe I'll try that. I currently use McAffee, Adaware, and Spybot search and destroy. Do you know if these programs work better than what I'm currently using?

I've also got Adaware and Spybot and I don't think it hurts to have several spyware checks. But I found McAffee a bit intrusive but better than Norton which used to be good but is now very clumsy. Just my opinion. Certainly there is no harm in having more than one spychecker/phishing programs running but *never* more than one virus checker running otherwise it will slow your pc down badly.

I hope it's not too late. Perhaps there are others also who are looking for freebies. Try to visit http://alphaomegaseniars.cfsites.org There are freebies there, you may be able to get some which you need. Just open the Freebies web page and choose whatever you want. I hope this could help someway somehow.

I included a small selection of freely available software titles on my new website in 'pre-launch' at the moment. There are a range of titles all of which I have used and reviewed. I hope to add some more in the fullness of time, but a start has at least been made... please visit: http://www.livewyre.net/software.php

There are so many Web sites offering truly freeware, that hard to pinpoint the best one. Lately, I have focused my seraches to the free portable software - programs that do not require installation on your computer and therefore bear the following advantages, in additing to the fact that you do not pay for them: 1. Programs that do not require installation do not cause any additional computer contamination by adding new drivers, log files, data files, etc. 2. If you want to remove the program, you simply delete the related folder or executable file. No need to perfrom un-installation, that occasionally might cause complications, brioken files and links, and orfan records in the registry. 3. You can store the software on your USB drive and move it around between different computers. There are several directories, offering free portable software for general public. http://freeportablesoftware.com http://portableapps.com And the best http://www.portablefreeware.com This is my first posting on MyLot. I hope, it is helpful to the fellows.
