Garlic, how to store it?

I use a lot of garlic in my cooking but find it tiresome to peel, cut up and mince the cloves. I am wondering is it possible to prepare a big batch, say 10 bulbs and freeze them, taking them out to use later? Does anybody know...? Thanks

what i usually do is peel it and put it in a jar and put enough cooking (just the same level), seal and put in the refrigerator. try this method it worked for me.

you can freeze garlic and it works just fine. that is what we do. I'll buy a few things of garlic and peel it all and then throw it in a tuperware container in the freezer. then when i want some i just pop a few out and use them.

By storing garlic properly, the taste and texture is preserved. The first thought for many people is to store garlic bulbs in the crisper of the refrigerator or in the freezer. The cold temperature spoils the taste as well as the texture of the garlic cloves. Garlic is best stored in a cool, dry place. When I come home from the supermarket, I immediately take the garlic bulbs and place them in an airtight container or plastic bag. I then store them in a cabinet, ensuring a cool dark environment.

why not just buy a jar of lazy garlic? This prepared ready to use in a jar all the best urban

its not the same....fresh garlic is the nicest taste and contains all the disease fighting ingredients!

You can freeze garlic but you also can chop it and put in in some olive oil and use what you want. I have some garlic peeled in a jar in the frig. It is just lose in a jar and I have had it for a few weeks. I used some tonight and it is fine.
