so i was supposed to start my period 4 days ago.. so i took a test tonight... the line was kind of like a shadow... i dont know if its positive or not? it might be an evaporated line.. but i looked it up and it said if the line is colorless, or a grey then it probably is.. but this line kind of looks like it has a blue tint.. i dont know!!! with my daughter it was VERY faint.. so thats why i think that its a positive im pretty sure it is positive.. but i don't 100% know i'm going to take another test in the morning has anyone had this kind of thing happen.. i know that any sort of line that you see means positive, but i dont know if its an evaporated line, so thats why im asking

It was explained to me very nicely when I went through the similar thing. You can't be a little pregnant... Good luck to you! OH --- I didn't know I was pregnant for 4 months. Just thought I was stressed from new job or gaining weight. But, my beautiful baby arrived on Valentine's Day!

I too didnt know that I was pregnent until around 4 mo I actually had my period but it was a day shorter then normal and no heavy day! But I thought it was due to the fact I had switched from Depo to the pill Doctor said I must have gotten pregnent while on depo. Luckly for me my daughter was fine.

Wow, sounds a lot like my weekend has been, lol. On Friday, I decided to pick up a test, just in case, and did it before work (which is in the afternoon). The one I used has a blue plus for positive or blue line for neg. I thought I saw a shadow of the second line to make the plus. I got 2 more tests yesterday and did them first thing this morning. The one that was the same kind, turned out the same way. The other (which was a super-cheapo $1 test) I couldn't tell if there was a second line, one sec it looked like it, and the next it didn't. So I went and bought 2 more (First Response from WalMart) and did 1 this afternoon (the 2nd is for in the morning). The one I did this afternoon has a very, very, very light 2nd pink line. Or maybe just my imagination cause I know where it's supposed to be (same with the others?). Anyway, no matter what results I get from the 2nd F.R. test in the morning, I am going to go get a test done at the dr. because if I am, I can't take my coumadin (had a pulmonary embolism after my c-section almost 15 months ago). And we were not ttc, but not really trying hard not to, either. If I were you, I would go ahead and get a test done tomorrow. Then again, I'm kind of impatient like that, lol (can you tell, I only did 4 tests already this weekend). Good luck, whichever way you are hoping to go, and keep us posted.

yeah seems like the same to me!!! i took the 2nd one this morning, and it looked the same as the first. so i thought maybe it was the brand. i called up my friend and told her and she said that she would pick up another one for me, and come over. i took it and its negative, im pretty sure. i feel like you and maybe its my imagination??? but this will be day 5 without a period. so i dont know whats going on.. im going to have to wait a bit. i defiantly feel pregnant tho.. sick.. crying.. my eyes hurt, i cant focus them. i can smell EVERYTHING. i dont know tho.. i really hope its not just my mind making my feel like this and no i dont want to be pregnant right now.. i wanted to wait a bit. my daughter is ALMOST 7 months. so yeah...

Yeah, I guess you should try going to the doctor. I mean, at least it would clear up your mind rather than using those home testing devices. I had that one once. It was very nerve wracking. But I did as instructed, took it first thing in the morning. A few drops only and it turned negative. Does it matter how much the pregnancy tester costs? I don't think so. But yeah, go to the doctor to be sure. =) Good luck to you.

This happens to a lot of people. Sometimes in your early pregnancy the line will verily show. They say that a women can also make a faulse positive by wanting to be pregnant, this can be explained by your doctor. If I were you, I would wait a couple of days and take another one. It should show up bettter if you are pregnant. If you are still not sure, call your doctor, which you will need to do eventually anyways.

It's not always the case that any line means positive, i found that if it says positive then it is but if it says negative it could still mean positive. I've never heard of a false positive though i'm afraid. If you're unsure, instead of wasting more money on more tests, you're better off just going straight to the Dr. I know it can be frustrating when the things don't work properly, which always makes me wonder why if the test is an unclear one, why people insists on going out & buying more. Why not get a different brand of test if the first one is unusual or unclear instead of taking 2 or 3 of the same & getting the same unclear result. Either that, or if the first test is positive, negative or unclear just go straight to the Dr for the 2nd opinion, rather than the 3rd or 4th opinion!

I knwo this is 5 days ago but have you tested again? I had a really light test with my daughter. The day before that I had one I stared at fromt ons of angles, in the light, and if I had a magnifying glass I would have used that. I came to the conclusion that I was making ymself crazy so I threw it away. 2 days after the "crazy test" I had a real positive. Good luck!

yeah i tested again.. it was a negative.. i still didnt start my period.. im pretty sure its a postive buuuutttt i started bleeding on wednsday.. i was 7 days late. i called my mid wife, she said that it could possibly be implantation bleeding, because it wasn't heavy or dark in color.. yesterday, i was bleeding a lot... with chunks. so i called again.. she told me it was a miscarriage. she said it wont be much different then a normal period, a little more blood, a little more cramping. this is because i was only like 5 weeks. i didn't have to go to the hospital, unless something went wrong. I'm doing good now... i've been feeling a lot better today then i have in weeks. me and my b had been fighting lots, i was stressed.. it just wasn't a good time to be pregnant. im OK with it.. i mean i cant do anything but accept it, and know it wasn't meant to be right now

One of my friends had the same problem and took 3 home test that all came up looking "evporated with a hint of blue" she finally went to the doctor and was not pregnent. But with her son (first pregnency) also had the same problem but only took the one home test and was pregnent. My thought is it may just be different between people when I've taken a home test it has been very obvious what the results were. I don't know if it has something to do with chemical differences in peoples bodies or that exactaly causes it. But now that I have heard of another perosn other then my friend having this I really do think that its different from person to person. If you woulded mind I'd be interested in what you find out (pregenent or not) and good luck and I hope that your results are what you want them to be.

They now have those digital pregnancy tests where the words pregnant or not pregnant will come up. Also, if your baby is only 7 months maybe it's from that? I'm not sure how long after pregnancy you will still test positive.

Sometimes it's really hard to tell when it's that early into the pregnancy. I would wait for a few days before doing the test again. A friend of mine did the test and it was negative but a week later, it came up positive. So, those few days in between can really make a difference.

There's tests you can buy that actually have the words "positive" or "negative" on them, so you can't be confused, it's either yes or no, not maybe. I certainly got a surprise when i found out i was pregnant with my child. The doctor gave me a test stick to wee on and she waited a while, looked at it and told me it was negative. After talking to me for a bit, by chance she looked at it again before going to toss it in the bin and said "oh sorry it's positive". Well those words changed my life! I definitely don't want any more kids. I had it perfect with my last boy friend, he had a vasectomy before i met him so i didn't have to worry about contraception (i've never taken "the pill"). He left me, so now i'm dating again, and now i have to worry about contraception in my next relationship :( Good luck with it all. Let us know if it's positive.

yes..this happened to me. If the line is very faint, but still there, it means the pregnancy hormone is present in your urine, but just not much yet because it is so early. Definately repeat the test being sure to follow all directions exactly. Best wishes to you! Michele

In all the pregnancy tests Ive taken... ive always been able to see the second line LIGHTLY if it was negative... but if its positive... it is a DEFINITE LINE!! If its very faint... i tend to think not much about it.. but if you are concerned... go to a doctor... a lot of them will do a free pregnancy test!
