so I had to buy a new computer for work. It wasn't easy considering the price but I needed something durable so I went for a MAC. Anyone have experience with a Mac? What do you think about it?

Hi I have a mac Laptop it has been under my bed since I bought it. although I do beleive Mac's are better I couldnt be bothered re learning everything I know. When I bought it i was so use to XP I could not get my head around it. I have recently bought a Toshiba Laptop with Vista although it is a differant O\s the general functions and feel is the same as XP. but i suppose it would be the same if was use to mac and changed to XP or Vista. It is getting comfortable with your O/S and the basic functions

So far I like the MAC. It wasn't difficult to get use to. There are a few things that bother me like there is no refresh button. Or is there? I can't find it. Other than these small things I find it much mre user friendly and it works so much smoother than my gateway did.

You are basically saying you are to lazy to learn how to do things a little differently.

macs are very durable compared to windows devices, but personally, i'd never make the switch. i've grown up using windows, and i don't see any point in the future where i'd willingly switch over to apple. around here, they're more expensive than similarly equipped laptops from pc vendors running windows. but from what i have heard, and my limited experience with OSX, macs are very good performers, because apple makes the hardware AND the software. but then again, if you know how to utilize xp or vista's features, it shouldn't make such a convincing difference. good luck on the laptop then.

I've had my Mac for about 3 weeks and I like it. It is very user firendly and the things I was not able to find before I can now find. It also saves a lot of space on my desk which is very very nice.

Macs are good pieces of computers if you know how to use them. If you are a windows person, be prepared to learn how to use a Mac. It's not the same as windows.
