Guide To Blogging

I've been working on a blog that is basically a guide to setting up and maintaining your own blogs so far it covers things like editing 404 pages, changing themes, explaining certain plugins, best free and paid hosting etc. While it's predominantly aimed at wordpress blogs (my personal preference) it can be of use to other blog platforms (blogger etc) What I'm wondering though is with so many people either looking to start their own blogs or already blogging is there anything in particular people would like to know more about? I want to make sure it covers as much as possible when it comes to how to set certain things up in blogs etc. It's been awhile since I set up my first blog and I tend to do things on automatic now without thinking too much about it so I've probably forgotten a lot of initial problems I may have faced :-) Also if any one has any tips they'd like to share - Or if you want I'd be happy to add your informative tips/articles and a link back to your site etc. to my blog.

After our lovely sharings about our dogs and flip/flopping, and the friends acceptance thought I drop by and check out your site. I also logged on to your blogging webpage and may be interested in doing something with you on blogs. I am a free-lance writer and journalist and eventually plan to set up a blog to conincide with our webpage once we get it up. You have obviously put a lot of work into yours...and it looks good. Right now all I have is a redimentary home-page...but my hubby and are are looking to combining our businesses and setting up a larger webpage with a blog. So I have bookmarked your site...and will be getting back to it as time permist. Good connecting with you...see even when you're not out walking them...dogs are a great ice-breaker and have a great knack of introducing their humans to each other. So long for now...but I am sure we'll be in touch again.

Hey, Thanks for popping in. Give me a yell at anytime if you want do something on blogs. I love making them and sharing with others what I'm learning etc. I just mentioned on your flip/flop discussion that I also have a website on dogs (a constant work in progress as it continues to grow) so I'm combing two things I love - dogs and blogging/website building :-) And you're spot on - dogs are the best ice-breakers - I've met and made friends with many people, both online and off, through our mutual admiration of our canine friends :-) No doubt we'll cross paths again. And again, feel free to give me a yell at anytime if you want any help, or anything with your blog/website etc

Hello again. I was wondering if you could help me. I am trying to redo my blog into a better format. However, I am facing some issues with the html coding. I have four links at the top of my page but I am unable to direct the links to the site I want them to go to. Do you have any idea what the problem might be I am at a total loss. I was able to get the second tab to link to a page but not the third and the fourth tabs. Thanks so much. P.S my site is College4idiots.com I wasn't sure if looking at it would help you to better understand what exactly I have been doing wrong.

Hi, Sorry it took so long to get back to you - I'm not familiar with your blog's template etc but probably the easiest thing to do would be to get into the source code for your header and just overwrite the links you have there - looking at your page source (view/page source)you presently have them all linked to the same page - find where that section is in your blogs template/code and then just type in the link you want to direct the text (cooking/advice etc) Hope that helps a little :-)
