Illegals to get official id cards in Connecticut!

Estherlou, I'd be interested in seeing just how long those Connecticut city officials stay in office. I'd be working very hard to get them out if I lived there. It's just not right...period.

That is absolutely horrible to hear. The people in office there will not be keeping their jobs long and will probably have a lot of people protesting what they are doing. Hopefully something will be done to block that move. I am sure the people of Connecticut will protest this and do whatever they can to prevent illegal immigrants from having access to what belongs to them. Illegal immigrants should be sent back to the countries they came from.

I saw that in the news yesterday and I was so disgusted I couldn't even think what implications that has for our future. This is a first step instead to amnesty unless these ID are all on an official data base and then if our our officials ever get the guts to deport them they will be easier to find.

I find it outrageous that someone who is already breaking the law by being here in the first place is being given access to services they have no right to. What I don't understand is that our government is supposed to be run by the people who elect representatives who are supposed to represent what we think and desire. Instead, we have representatives who are representing only what they think and what special interest groups think and want. Everyone I talk to, even legal Latinos, find it appalling that people who are here illegally should get any services. Not to mention the fact that giving out ids is an open door to give terrorists a legitimate in to our society. Are these people crazy or what? We have lunatics for representatives. They don't seem to have a clue about reality. Sometimes, I think we need to get them all in one spot and hope the terrorists bomb them then maybe we could start over with people who have some sense!

West Haven is full of those illegal immigrants. you cannot missed it, there are everywhere in 7-11,dish washers in restaurants, gas stations, x-rated stores, cinemas, etc etc. they have always been there as long as i remember. and now they are getting 'official identification'???

The United States has always been willing to help those less fortunate. My concern is that they entered illegally which makes me think that they have something to hide. In such cases, it would be better for the United States to check out why they came here illegally.

If this is true. This makes me sick. Illegals can commit crimes and the goverment looks the other way but if a natural born citizen commits a cri8me. They throw us in jail. ....sick sick sick.

That is soooo crazy...I seen it on the News and I was shocked..But they already are getting Credit Cards from Bank of America. The only thing I can see any good would it will help on knowing who is illegal here and when the time comes it will be easier to deport them. I have talked to friends who are legal and they are so mad as they worked hard to become legal, and now to hear all this. They are even upset at the ones who march in the streets and demand Amensty..What has happen to Amercia???

I would hope that those that line up are actually going to be detained and deported. This would be a good way to keep up with the inflow of illegal aliens into our country. I hope that this is the case since the id cards for them would then translate into id cards for all of us and then the mark of the beast factor becomes a looming factor.

Ok, this makes no sense to me. If they are lining up to get the cards why not collect thema and send them back to their own countries??? Unbelievable!!! AT PEACE WITHIN

Immigration recently went through a company here in my home town and deported 500 illegal immigrants! That is 500 jobs there were taken away from the true Americans. We have people living out on the streets because jobs are not available! Now we are going to make it even that much easier for them? Give me a break! and the dangers of this are just phonomenal. This is just crazy. What has our government came to?
