I've been heavy and overweight all my life. When I was 17,I took slimming pills I bought from the pharmacy and laxatives eg:slimming tea.It was terrible! It made me go to the toilet at night and sometimes wake me from a very deep sleep.I've spent thousands on slimming treatments, slimming creams, slimming bath salts, etc. The pounds kept on piling. And then,my boyfriend left me.I lost my appetite and sometimes I forget to eat.I started a new hobby.Jogging.I went jogging in the morning, afternoon and swimming at night.I lost 20 pounds. But then when I started dating,I started gaining what I lost. Now,I realized I was on a yoyo diet. Now I make sure I jog everyday without fail.Sign up for charity runs or walks whenever I had the time and play futsal(indoor soccer)every now and then.It works!I haven't lost any weight but it's been the same weight and the best thing is,it's my ideal weight! One thing you shouldn't do at all is taking laxatives!Believe me,exercise is the best solution!Hope this helps!

I believe in the same thing...but how do u manage to get time for excerise, after a long day in office...who has the stimina for excerise....just want to lay back...enjoy...isn't it... We all plan different things, do things differently only to know that instead of lossing weight we are still gaining it... What to do....can't help... but i'm still poistive abt it... sometime someday ...we will be getting the things in hand...where our dreams will come true... and we will be free from overweight... Ha ha ha... Living for a big dream.

I have always been overweight, and have tried everything from diet pills to fad diets. The only things that have really worked though were to eat a sensible diet, cut down on my calorie intake while increasing the amount of water I drink, and exercise daily. It really helps to keep track of what you eat too, because you would be surprised at what you are eating without even thinking about it. If you have to write it down, you are holding yourself accountable for every calorie you eat.

I agree with you, infact its a good idea to be held accountable for what you eat, but i think i don't have an control over it and i really have to work hard on this subject. Have to work on my will power, i believe that going to help me on the long run. And i can also avoid few of my friends who are found of mouth watering foods...lol Thanks for a wonderful piece of advice.

Thanks for the advice. My being overweight was so bad, I lost control of my appetite. I was extremely depressed. Now I am starting to pay attention to what I put in my shopping cart. I watch the calories; carbs; cholesterol, trans fat, sugar and I follow the diabetes II guidelines. I buy products that have been approved by the American Heart Association; American Diabetes Association and other organizations for health improvement. I now have heart disease; hbp, kidney problems, back problems, pain from head to toe trying to walk and stay on my feet. STRESS plays a BIG factor in weigh gain, so does depression. I am categorized by my doctors with Major Depression disorder. The thing to remember is "never give up".

As a teenage I weighed more than I want to, so I used my mother's weight loss candy called Ayds. All you have to do is eat one piece of candy with a warm glass of water. I lost the weight. In the 70s I begin to gain weight, I tried dexatrim, the waist cincher, I joined an aerobic class, I dranked lots of water, I tried slimfast, Hoodia. I tried herbal teas that promised to take it off. I did all kind of exercises; strenght training, weight lifting. I finally accepted the fact that I cannot lose weight and I dont have the money to pay for something expensive. Later on I found out I have diabetes II along with some other health related conditions. The medicine they gave me made me weigh over 300 lbs. I try so hard to lose weight, I have requested bariatric surgery from my doctor.

(please overlook mispelled words..thank you) I have tried Dexetrim but it made me so shakey and hungry.. I couldn't shovel food into my mouth fast enough when I used this. I also tried regular dieting, RX weight loss pills, trimspa, herbal life, accutrim, exercising, slimfast, fasting, no red meat, vegetarian, calorie counting, low fat intake and the carbs. There may be one or two more i'm not sure.. but none of them worked for me. I'm at witts end. Both me and my children are over weight by at least 150 pounds and we need to drop weight so if anyone knows of anything I may not have tried or something that really works for them please inform me.. thanks.

We are all in a vicious circle of loseing weight, but in the end of the day end up gaining weight. Everyone tried everything, but I believe you can only get an effective result if you are determined. Have your goal, if needed put a date by which you will bring down your weight to what ever you thing you can achieve of. We were thinking of doing lots of things but now its time to do something, get yourself focused. Only One Mantra "Regular Exercise, Low Fat Food, Vegitables and Fruits" Try this and see if we can see some changes or not. Best of Luck Want to see all of us in Healthy and Wealthy God Bless.
