We thought Anelka was coming back to Arsenal, why did this not happen-has it to do with his arragont exit to Barcelona years back?

Arsenal do not need Anelka, hes been a flop at every team since he left us, I trust Wengers judgement and Im sure he will bag a couple of last minute wonderkid signings who will take premiership by storm just as Fabregas, Van Persie & co have done in the past.

well one reason is that wenger doesn not like players who are pretty old. the next reason is according to wenger himself that "the team has already got enough strikers, and would be useless to get a new one". The gunners have already snatched da silva and the other strikers look alright to me.

dude anelka went to real madrid instead of barcelona as stated by you and he was profilic scorer when he played for gunners and was sold for around 21 miliion pounds which was quite a hugh amount at that time. The reason for him not coming bck to arsenal is that gunners have strong frontline strikers and he will have to compete with them for starting place and a player of anelka stature wont go like to go through that phase again
