My husband and I will be welcoming our third and final child any day now and then he is going to schedule a vasectomy. I was wondering if anyone that has had one could share their experiance so we know a little about what to expect. How did yours turn out? (or for the ladies, how did your husbands turn out?)

My hubby is scared to have one done as well. Although his brother had it done. It was a very simple out patient ordeal. The only wierd thing that happened to Eric was he sat with a bag of frozen peas on his parts for the rest of the day. Everything went well after that, and he hasn't had any problem since.
My hubby would have it done, but he doesn't want to schedule the appointment. I'm leary of him doing it, as I'm not sure how permanent we want our Birth Control. I'm 36, still time for maybe one more, but we just can't decide if we want to do it or not. LOL!

my hubby doesn't seem scared. i'm glad to hear your brother in law didn't have any trouble. i was reading about them yesterday and now i'm leary lol. this is our 3rd and we can't afford more, but if we could down the road i might not mind another. i think its just a scary thought to say 100% that its over.

From my understanding, Vasectomies are a lot easier to reverse than other permanent forms of BC. So, it will be 100% for now, but you are still pretty young, and you can change your mind later.

Thank you for the BR. :) Did your hubby go through with the surgery? Or, is he like my hubby, and very hesitant about it? (He'd rather get a perscription for Rogain. Silly men!)
