We should have a Emergency Light in our house is it right

Yes, most of the time in India we have power cut so it is better to have emergency light in house.

I have a series of candles placed throughout my house so if the power goes off, there will always be light to see to get around. Now, if I could just get people to leave my matches andlighters wher I putthem things would be fine. By the way. you should also have a bottled source of fresh water available as well.
